The Foundation's Evening of Impact

Today marks 30 days since the Susan Wojcicki Foundation launched with a dedication to finding lung cancer earlier, when it's most treatable, and preventing it altogether.

In its first month, that mission has gained remarkable momentum:

  • TIME and Good Morning America brought Susan’s story and the launch of the Foundation to national audiences.
  • On May 28th, the Foundation’s community of scientists, researchers, and technologists came together for a moving event that raised $15 million for the fight against lung cancer.

Watch highlights from the Foundation’s Evening of Impact here:

  • The Foundation also announced its first major research collaborations: a partnership with the International Agency for Research on Cancer to help develop a blood test that may identify never-smokers at high risk for lung cancer; and a collaboration with Brown University to establish a biorepository that will power the next generation of early detection research.

The Foundation’s Scientific Advisory Committee continues to help guide this work, bringing world-class expertise to the mission, while a Community Advisory Committee centers the perspective of patients. Soon, a Creator Advisory Council will help amplify and raise awareness about lung cancer.

To everyone who has donated, shared Susan's story, attended the event, championed the mission, or cheered the Foundation on: thank you for your support! This is just the beginning.
